MOTHER THE SELF: A Pathway Inward
Our inner dialogue profoundly impacts the physiology of our bodies. The body remembers, believes, and responds to everything we think, say, and do—so much so that our biology becomes our biography.
The act of mothering oneself goes far beyond physical self-care. It is a practice of presence, awareness, and attunement. It is a form of deep nourishment—an inner nurturing that allows freedom to emerge. In this state, we begin to experience internally what we’ve long sought externally. Self-judgment softens. The judgments we hold of others begin to dissolve. We show up refreshed, grounded in loving and wholeness instead of lack or longing.
The meaning we assign to our experiences, and the beliefs we hold about ourselves and others, ultimately shape the quality of our lives.
